The Town of West Hartford is initiating a planning study that will focus on evaluating the New Park Avenue Transit Area corridor for potential complete street improvements and possible amendments to the zoning ordinances.  A primary goal of this study is to enhance transit supportive standards for Transit Oriented Development land uses and improve inter- and intra-town pedestrian and bicycle access and connectivity to the Flatbush and Elmwood CT Fastrak Stations.

Various ideas will be explored, developed and tested through a comprehensive, robust and participatory community engagement process, guided by current transportation engineering and planning best practices.

Please feel free to contact Todd Dumais, Town Planner & Project Manager, (todd.dumais@westhartfordct.gov) 860.561.7556. We will continue to update this site as the study progresses.
